The Center for Democracy and Civic Life works closely with national partners to advance a vision for higher education as a forum for the kind of learning, knowledge production, and active participation needed to address issues affecting our communities and world. Members of the Center staff serve on the National Advisory Board for Imagining America and the Steering Committee for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ American Democracy Project, and are members of the core team developing and writing about the Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement Theory of Change. In addition, Center staff members collaborate with leaders at network member institutions to develop, test, and share innovative practices.
