Description

On September 19, 1966, UMBC opened its doors to its first class of students. Join the Center for Democracy and Civic Life on September 14, 2026 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. for a special 60th anniversary tour of campus to learn the stories of UMBC programs, initiatives, and landmarks shaped by students over the last six decades. You will learn and reflect on ways you too can make changes on campus and participate in the UMBC tradition of co-creating our community.

This session will start and end in the Skylight Room, but much of the tour will take place outside. Be sure to dress appropriately (sunscreen, hat, walking shoes, etc.).

This event will have limited spots. RSVP to participate.

This program is open for full participation by all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the university's nondiscrimination policy.
