What Are Primary Elections?
Primary elections are how political parties pick their candidates for the general election. In Maryland, you usually need to be registered with a party to vote in its primary. Some nonpartisan races let all voters participate.

Deadline to request a mail-in ballot in person at your local election board office by 8 PM. Ballots must be hand-delivered.
