Description

Join us for a workshop on the fundamentals of conflict management. Whether you are looking for ways to take care of the communities around you or how to navigate interpersonal conflict yourself, this program will provide you with useful tools and ways of thinking. We will cover:
  • The most productive ways to think about conflict,
  • The priorities and essential goals of conflict management,
  • Tips for how to communicate when you are in conflict, and
  • Strategies for facilitating conflict management processes.
No matter who you are, there are ways we can all improve our ability to confidently approach difficult conversations with others. Let’s identify the skills, dispositions, and values that help us create healthier communities together.

This session will be co-led by Davonya Hall (Student Conduct and Community Standards) and Ricky Blissett (Center for Democracy and Civic Life), who are both seasoned facilitators, dialogue trainers, and mediators. This workshop is open to students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff. Click “Going In Person” below to RSVP.
