Innovation & Leadership

UMBC students, faculty, and staff sit around a table and engage in a group conversation at a crowded conference.

The Center for Democracy and Civic Life develops strategies and tools to enact the values and aspirations identified in the Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (CLDE) Theory of Change. Our work involves design, improvisation, experimentation, and creative assessment. Members of the Center staff share the products of this work through collaborative projects involving campus and national partners, and through publications and presentations.
