Cross-posted from Campus Life:
Join staff from the Center for Democracy and Civic Life and Initiatives for Identity, Inclusion, and Belonging for a conversation about how to lead your student organization during Election 2020. This is an unprecedented election year in which all of us are experiencing overlapping crises, including a global pandemic. Tensions are high even as people crave the feeling of connection. Student organization members may feel isolated, uncertain, or uncomfortable sharing their honest views. Their frustrations may come out in the ways they participate in your virtual spaces.
You are in a position to help by leading in ways that foster inclusion and belonging. In this session, you will learn how to support your peers in getting involved in the political process and how to create environments in which organization members with differing political views can thrive together.
