Voter Registration

Need to register to vote? Want to check if you are already registered? You’re in the right place. Read below to find the resources you need. UMBC partners with the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (a project of Civic Nation) to provide voter registration support to students. Use the following portal to be redirected to a page where you can register to vote in your state. For a direct link to Maryland’s voter registration page (for residents of Maryland), visit this page from the Maryland State Board of Elections. If you need in-person support with registering to vote, see the “Voter Registration Support” section on the Events and Programs page.

You can also visit the webpage for the U.S. Election Assistance Commission for more resources.

It is important to check if you are registered to vote, even if you are confident that you have registered in the past. Voters are sometimes (though infrequently) unregistered for a variety of reasons (you didn’t respond to an inquiry, you were marked inactive, etc.). You should also double-check that your listed name, address, and party identification (if any) are correct. If you check your registration and find that you need to update your information, use the portal in the Register to Vote section above.
